Meet The Crew

Principal / FOUNDER

During her 25 years at the helm of People People, Sara Green has developed brands for some of the Pacific Northwest’s most iconic organizations such as Pike Place Market, WA State Parks, Vulcan Inc., and Seattle Cider, while also maintaining a passion for small startups. She believes positioning is key to almost everything in life, but especially when it comes to helping people tell their stories. Known for her refined brand strategy process, Sara ensures clients are delighted not just with the results, but with the journey itself.

A northwest native and graduate of Washington State University, her foundation in design has been built upon through hands-on experience across countless projects and initiatives. Her work has been recognized in The New York Times, GDUSA, Print Magazine, and Communication Arts. Sara was featured in AIGA’s Women Lead Spotlight and on podcasts including Grow Your Agency and Creative Boom. 

Sara loves spending time with her family, traveling, playing outdoors and living in a place where she gets to experience every season to its fullest. 

Creative Director

A seasoned Creative Director, Shannon brings over 15 years of experience developing brand strategies, visual identities, messaging frameworks, interactive experiences and websites for clients such as Google, Creative West, Pike Place Market, Mithun, LMN, University Village, Washington State Parks, and Seattle Cider Co. 

Shannon brings a unique skillset to every project leading both creative and technical processes with an eye for detail and a passion for client success. An adept facilitator and communicator, she is highly skilled at bringing complex projects to life within large and interconnected team frameworks.

Her work has appeared in PRINT Magazine, The Dieline, GDUSA, Transform, Creative Boom, and the Seattle Times. Under her leadership, People People was awarded 2023 Best of Practice by the Architect’s Newspaper for its AEC and environmental signage work.

Shannon is a podcast obsessed, chili-crisp making Pacific Northwest born and raised resident of Seward Park. You can find her swimming at Lake Washington, exploring hidden gem restaurants, or smoking salmon.

senior Creative Producer

With over 15 years of experience in marketing, brand strategy, social media, and video production, Justin Huguet is a well-rounded partner in brand strategy and audience engagement. His work is characterized by a deep understanding of brand identity and a commitment to delivering impactful, cohesive experiences for audiences and users. 

He has led communications efforts and campaigns for some of the Pacific Northwest’s most notable organizations and businesses in both in-house and agency-based roles. Prior to joining People People, Justin led the creative marketing and communications strategy for the $76 million Pike Place Market Front expansion and orchestrated a successful social media campaign in collaboration with legendary bands Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers to raise awareness for Paul Newman’s Serious Fun Children’s Network.

A self-proclaimed poker shark, 90s music trivia whiz, aspiring funk drummer and dad to two young boys, Justin has a BA in Communications & Film Studies from University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Creative Producer + Strategist

Lara Green is a multi-disciplinary creative, experienced in brand strategy and design, communications, illustration, and creative production. No matter what role she plays in a particular project, her purpose is always to help people and brands reach their highest potential. From mixed-methods research to foundational messaging, she deploys a swiss army knife of skills that connect people and ideas through authentic and delightful brand experiences. 

Lara holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, French Literature and Journalism from Gonzaga University, as well as design credentials from CalArts, Ideo, and School of Visual Concepts. Her professional experience includes roles both in-house and agency-side, for organizations in a wide range of sectors including philanthropy, AEC, venture capital, non-profit, arts, technology, health and medicine, and education.

Lara lives on a farm on beautiful Whidbey Island where she grows apples, reads too late, and sweeps sand out of her house daily.

Senior Designer / Director

A graduate of Cornish College of the Arts, Noah has graced People People with two decades of authenticity and experience, leading design, illustration and interactive projects for some of the Northwest’s most iconic brands – humbly snatching up numerous accolades along the way. He brings an artful touch and a mastery of craft to every project, delivering timeless creative concepts that connect the dots between audience and business strategy. 

Noah has established a reputation for his unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking, which he applies across a wide range of sectors, with particular expertise in branding AEC, Consumer Food and Beverage, and Restaurants. His work spans some of the Northwest’s most iconic brands, including Pike Place Market, Salty’s Restaurants, Seattle Pride, and the Port of Seattle Fire Department and has been showcased on prominent industry platforms such as Graphic Design USA, The New York Times, Brand New/Under Consideration, and Rockport Publication’s prestigious “Logo Lounge.” In 2024, his work for Seattle Pride was showcased in Winner of the iconic “Seattle Show” for both Trace Lofts and Veer Lofts interactive.

When not designing, Noah is traveling and thinking about design—scrolling, snapping, pinning, collecting, and bookmarking all the beautiful things to craft his next masterpiece.

Senior Designer / photographer

With over a decade of experience on the Pacific Northwest design scene, Maddy Porter specializes in finding just the right mix of playful personality and timeless visuals, crafting lasting brands for some of the region’s favorite gems, including Seattle Cider, Yonder, Bar Sur Mer, and San Juan Island Brewing.

Maddy’s work merges multiple crafts and perspectives—from her experience as a designer and small business owner, to her skills as a photographer and illustrator. Above all, she values her role as a design partner, guiding clients through the creative process while learning alongside them to deliver brands that differentiate.  

A graduate of University of Washington, Maddy’s work has been recognized in multiple publications, including several features in Logo Lounge. An outdoor kid through and through, Maddy’s vision of perfection is eating oysters and sipping a sparkling cocktail in the sunshine, overlooking the water.

Art Director

Amy Wilson is an accomplished graphic designer and art director with an acute sensibility to design. She develops brands from the story up, working a big picture into its simplest forms, often through both words and visuals. She approaches every project with empathy, enthusiasm, and obsession for detail; meeting people where they are so she can guide them to where they hope to be. Her versatility and commitment to excellence are evident in every project she undertakes.

With over 16 years of experience across a diverse range of specialties, including brand, packaging, digital, illustration, editorial, and type design, Amy has worked with a wide array of clients, from start-ups and non-profits to large, national corporations.

Recognition for her work includes a Silver Addy for Seattle Distilling packaging, a Graphic Design USA award for Reuben’s Brews, and a Print Magazine regional design award for Good News. Her designs have been featured in prominent publications such as Print Magazine, GDUSA, The Dieline, Typewolf, Brand New/Under Consideration, and Communication Arts, among others.

Art Institute alum, Doberman mom, wandering, book-reading gardener — Amy is energized by the simple indulgences of life and anything with a good history.

Digital Designer

A strategic thinker with a creative edge, Michelle excels at analyzing the competitive landscape and reimagining existing concepts into something truly unique. In her role as Digital Designer, she is committed to centering the human experience, ensuring that interactions on the web feel natural and intuitive. Her human-centered design approach has made her a particularly adept partner in developing brands and interactive experiences in the non-profit sector. Her work in this area has gained recognition, with recent projects featured in publications such as Graphic Design America, Brand New, and Transform Magazine.

A California/Washington hybrid, she holds a degree in Comparative History of Ideas from the University of Washington, and received her design education from the School of Life (as well as UC Berkeley). She now enjoys the meandering pace of life in an old farmhouse.

SENIOR Developer

A Wisconsin native and cheese curd aficionado, Andrew Tarcon is a seasoned web developer with over 15 years of experience crafting hundreds of custom, responsive websites. Specializing in high-end, maintainable digital experiences, he has worked extensively with architectural firms, non-profits, and food and beverage clients across the country. With a strong blend of creative and technical expertise, he ensures every site is tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, from secure e-commerce platforms to visually striking portfolio sites.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, you can find Drew hanging with his family, on the golf course, or volunteering for a good cause!

Web Developer

Brett Horner brings creativity and fun to every website he codes. A skilled web developer with a strong design sensibility, Brett leverages a wide range of technologies to craft engaging and user-friendly digital experiences. His expertise in both development and design ensures seamless, visually polished solutions that drive engagement and growth for a diverse portfolio of clients spanning e-commerce, architecture firms, real estate developments, restaurants, and non-profits.

Outside of web development, Brett enjoys a lazy susan of hobbies, including gaming, making music, mead brewing, painting miniatures, and bowling. He is a graduate of the College of Technology at Bowling Green State University. Go Falcons!

Accountant

A native from the land of deep dish pizza, blues and Michael Jordan, Pam hails from the Chicago area bringing a background ranging from elementary teacher, to sports marketing to property management to accounting. She has a BA from Valparaiso University and her MBA from the University of Notre Dame. Even though her Midwest roots run deep, the Pacific Northwest is definitely home. She has been the queen of the calculator with People People for over 10 years making sure all beans have been counted and the cash is flowing. When she is not relating to numbers, she can be found attending her kids sporting events and traveling with her family, exploring exciting and new places.
