We’re beaming with PRIDE to share our branding and design work for the 2023 Seattle Pride celebration!
With the ‘Galactic Love’ theme, the possibilities were truly out of this world. We led the project’s creative direction, playfully blending influences from nostalgic, intergalactic design trends from the 70s, 80s and 90s. Think Lisa Frank-meets-Galaga.
In our first conversation with the Seattle Pride team we were asked to “dream of colors that don’t exist.” Reimagining the Pride flag for this fabulously futuristic event was a fun challenge. We landed on a dreamlike holographic gradient — an explosion of vibrancy outside the confines of the solid colors of the traditional striped flag — representing Pride as fluid, inclusive, evolving, and of course, GLAMOROUS!
Love is for everyone, no matter where you are in the universe.
