Washington State Parks cares for our most treasured lands, waters, and historic places, and believes that the outdoors are for everyone—from the first time-visitor or casual explorer, to the expert adventurer, and the generations to come.

It was an incredible honor to evolve the identity to reinforce these beliefs and more broadly represent the beauty of our state.

The new logo features landforms directly inspired by both sides of the Cascades, from the summit of Mount Spokane and the columnar basalt in the east to the shrubsteppe of the midlands and the coasts in the west.

The shield shape was softened, gentle curves added, and the color palette expanded to include brighter, warmer tones, for a wild-meets-welcoming feel.
