Fora Landscape Architects

Background

Weisman Design Group, a well-known Pacific Northwest Landscape Architecture studio, was approaching their 40th year anniversary when they decided to rename and rebrand to better reflect who the studio was today.

Together we landed on the name Fora, which is the plural of forum and means simply ‘what is out of doors’ in its original latin. As a team of designers who create spaces for people to connect — with each other and the natural world — the name was a perfect fit.

The new visual identity and logo pull inspiration from the meaning behind the name, as well as the team’s personality and culture.

The custom ‘f’ in the logo, which features both hard angels and rounded moments, was inspired by the intersection of nature and the built environment; where people and the natural world connect.
